The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) released Version 2.0 of the cybersecurity framework (CSF) on February 26, 2024. The NIST CSF is a set of cybersecurity guidelines, standards, and best practices to help organizations understand cyber risks and improve their defenses. Version 2.0's scope has been refreshed to reflect its use by all organizations—not just critical infrastructure, its original target audience—to manage and reduce risks.
